Welcome to Focus Block. By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

Focus Block (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a digital wellbeing application designed to help you take control of your phone usage and build better focus habits.

Acceptance of Terms

By using Focus Block, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our application.

License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Use, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Focus Block application on your personal device(s) for your personal, non-commercial use.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the application
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the application
• Use the application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the application
• Use the application in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
• Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer rights to the application

User Accounts

Focus Block may be used without creating an account. However, subscription features require interaction with our payment processor. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• All activities that occur through your use of the application
• Keeping your subscription information current and accurate

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription

Focus Block is a subscription-based application. Premium features are available through an in-app subscription processed by our payment provider, RevenueCat. Subscription terms include:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off in your device’s account settings
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Refunds

Refund policies are governed by the App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable. We do not process refunds directly. For refund requests, please contact:

Content Blocking Features

Focus Block uses iOS Screen Time APIs and Android Digital Wellbeing APIs to help you block distracting applications. Please note:

• You maintain full control over which apps are blocked
• Blocking is implemented through official platform APIs
• We cannot guarantee blocking will work for all apps or in all circumstances
• You can disable or modify blocking settings at any time

Intellectual Property

The Focus Block application, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

The Focus Block name and logo are our trademarks. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.

Key privacy principles:

• All app blocking data remains on your device
• We collect minimal analytics data to improve the app
• We do not sell your personal data
• You can request deletion of your data at any time

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The application will meet your requirements
• The application will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from use of the application will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the application will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the application
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the application
• Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted or shared through the application

Age Requirements

Focus Block is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, please do not use our application. If you are between 13 and 18, you should review these Terms of Use with a parent or guardian to ensure they understand and agree to them.

Third-Party Services

Focus Block integrates with third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics - for usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics - for crash reporting
• RevenueCat - for subscription management
• Firebase Remote Config - for feature configuration

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application if you violate these Terms of Use or for other legitimate reasons, with reasonable notice where feasible.

You may stop using the application at any time by deleting it from your device. If you have an active subscription, you should cancel it according to the App Store or Google Play Store procedures to avoid being charged for future billing periods.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms in the application
• Updating the “Effective Date” at the top of these Terms

Your continued use of the application after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms of Use shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the application and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
